About us
Don't just get pain-free. Get fit for life.
Andreas Chavez Kenny founded All Things Physio in 2016 with a simple aim: to provide the type of physiotherapy he believes is most effective. Having worked in physiotherapy, he felt too much treatment focused on getting people out of pain without addressing the physical capacity that contributed to the problem in the first place.

Our story
Our story
From the beginning, the philosophy has been that being pain-free shouldn't be the end goal. The goal is to get people fit for life: restoring their movement and function, then building the strength, capacity and confidence they need for the demands they want to place on their bodies.
A major frustration when Andreas started the business was the lack of proper equipment in many traditional physiotherapy settings. Rehab was often limited to a few light resistance bands, small dumbbells and a treatment couch. These can have a role, but they don't always give the progressive loading needed to properly rebuild someone's physical capacity. That is one of the reasons All Things Physio works inside properly equipped gyms.

What makes us different
Sports physiotherapy principles shouldn't be reserved for professional athletes. We see rehabilitation as having two phases.
Phase one: out of pain
Getting you out of pain and restoring your basic movement and function.
Phase two: ready for your life
Getting you physically ready for the demands of your life. For one person that means getting out of a chair comfortably, picking up the grandchildren or returning to gardening. For another it means a marathon, competitive sport or a new weightlifting personal best.
The principles are the same. The application and the end goal are tailored to you.
About us
Measured, not guessed
We don't want rehab to be based purely on how you feel. We place a strong emphasis on objective measurement and regular reassessment.
Depending on the problem, we measure range of movement with a goniometer, balance and spinal movement on our Functional Mat, and strength with handheld dynamometers that measure to two decimal places.
These numbers show your progress objectively, flag anything that isn't improving as expected, and let us adapt your treatment. Our approach is not simply "you feel better, so you're better". We want to know you are moving better, getting stronger and becoming more capable.

About us
Who we work with
Our philosophy is deliberately broad. The same high-level approach you would expect in professional sport should be open to everyone: an eight-year-old, an 80-year-old, a recreational runner, a gym-goer, someone coming back from surgery, or someone who simply wants to move better and stay active.
You don't need to be sporty to benefit from a sports physio approach. We tailor the rehab to you and the demands of your life.

How we treat people
Exercise and rehabilitation are the mainstay of what we do. Hands-on treatment is used where it helps you reach your goals faster, alongside exercise rather than instead of it.
- 1
Detailed assessment
We identify the likely cause of the problem and what has contributed to it.
- 2
Clear explanation
We explain what we have found in plain language, so you understand your body.
- 3
A plan that progresses
Exercises get more demanding as your capacity improves, with hands-on treatment where it helps.
- 4
Regular reassessment
You see where you started, what has changed and what you still need to work on. If something isn't improving, we change course.
The aim is to make you more independent, not reliant on ongoing treatment.
About us
The environment
We have access to two very well-equipped gyms, at Kingston University and inside Motion Training (CrossFit Surbiton). That lets us load and challenge you properly throughout your rehab.
Instead of a treatment room, a few light weights and a resistance band, we use proper gym equipment to rebuild your physical capacity. It bridges the gap between being injured and being genuinely ready for everyday life, work, sport or exercise.

Our philosophy
Our philosophy
We're not a clinic that simply provides massage, passive treatment or a generic list of exercises. Equally, we don't believe everyone needs to be treated like an elite athlete. We take the principles of high-level sports rehab and make them appropriate and accessible to everyone.
The measure of success isn't how often you need to see your physio. It's whether we've helped you become more capable, confident and resilient in the things that matter to you.
We're proud to be a local business serving Kingston, Surbiton and the surrounding communities, bringing an approach people associate with high-level sport and making it available to everyone.
Don't just get people pain-free. Get them fit for life.
